  1. I'm Talking About You

    Lyrics: I'm Talking About You

Let me tell you 'bout a girl I know
I met her walkin' down a uptown street
She's so fine you know I wish she was mine
I get shook up every time we meet

    I'm talkin' 'bout you
    Nobody but you
    Yeah, I do mean you
I'm just trying to get a message to you

Let me tell you 'bout a girl I know
I tell you now she looks so good
Got so much skills, such a beautiful will
She oughta be somewhere in Hollywood

    I'm talkin' 'bout you
    Nobody but you
Come on, give me a cue
So I can get a message to you

Let me tell you 'bout a girl I know
She's sittin' right here by my side
Lovely indeed, that's why I asked if she
Promised me someday she would be my bride

    I'm talkin' 'bout you
    I do mean you
    Nobody but you
Come on, let me get a message through
  2. Diploma for Two

    Lyrics: Diploma for Two

When I was in my freshman year
Nothing around me seemed too clear
My oh my, you can't blame a guy
When every day seemed so new

Then I came to be a sophomore
I got around better than I did before
I made friends fast in every class
And especially in the one I met you

Now I'm a junior and you're my girl
Gee, but those two years flew
I'll be the happiest guy in the whole wide world
If I can bank on a honeymoon with you

When I complete my senior term
I'll make reservations that you'll confirm
There'll be no doubt of me losing out
I'll get a diploma for two

Now I'm a junior and you're my girl
Gee, but those two years flew
I'll be the happiest guy in the whole wide world
If I can bank on a honeymoon with you

When I complete my senior term
I'll make reservations that you'll confirm
There'll be no doubt of me losing out
I'll get a diploma for two

    (A diploma for two)
  3. Thirteen Question Method

    Lyrics: Thirteen Question Method

The 13 question method is the one to use
The 13 question method is the one to use
The 13 question method is the one
To use when you want to go have some fun
The 13 question method is the one to use

Question number one, let's have some fun
Question number two is, what to do?
Question number three is, will you dine and dance with me?
Question number four, out the door

Question number five, I won't give you no jack
Question number six, how long to get fixed?
Question number seven, should I pick you up at a quarter to 11?
Question number eight, is it a date?

Question number nine is, where to dine?
Question number ten, can we get in?
Question number 11, it will be just like heaven
Question number 12, when we're about ourselves

So the 13 question method is the one to use
The 13 question method is the one to use
The 13 question method is the one
To use when you wanna go have some fun
The 13 question method is the one to use
  4. Away From You

    Lyrics: Away From You

Well, I wish I could be home with you
To watch the coming of the spring
I wish I could be home with you
To watch the coming of the spring
When the flowers fill the road side
And the birds begin to sing

I know the trees are burning
The sun is shining every day
I know the trees are burning
And the sun is shining every day
I wish I could tell you how much I miss you
Since the day you went away

    Before the sun rise tomorrow
You know I'd be there if I could
    Before the sun rise tomorrow
You know I'd be there if I could
Things didn't go like I wanted them
But I guess they went the way they should
  5. Don't You Lie to Me

Lyrics: Don't You Lie to Me

Let's talk it over baby 'fore we start
I heard about the way you over do your part
Don't lie to me, don't you lie to me
'Cause it makes me mad and I get shook up as a man can be

There's two kinds of people that I just can't stand
That's a lying woman and a cheating man
Don't lie to me, don't you lie to me
'Cause it makes me mad, and I get shook up as a man can be

I can love you baby 'til the cows come home
But I'm so sick and tired of you treating me wrong
Don't lie to me, don't you lie to me
'Cause it makes me mad, and I get evil as a man can be

If you love me baby and it ain't no lie
If I'll be with you baby 'til the river runs dry
Don't lie to me, don't you lie to me
'Cause it makes me mad, and I get evil as a man can be
  6. Way It Was Before, The

Lyrics: Way It Was Before, The

The way it was before I lost your love for me
I never thought I'd crave to see you
    The way it was before
    And so it was
I fooled around and lost your love
And since I'm only dreaming of the way it was before

    (Said someday I'd learn, oh)
And you told me that the tide would turn
    And now I see
(I promise, I'll be true, oh)
And I'll give my love to only you
    So help me

    Each night I pray
That you will try and understand
How much I need your love again
    The way it was before

    (Said someday I'd learn, oh)
And you told me that the tide would turn
    Now I see
(I promise, I'll be true, oh)
And give my love to only you
    So help me

Each night I pray that you will try and understand
How much I need your love again
    The way it was before
    The way it was before
  7. Little Star

    Lyrics: Little Star

Little starlight, little star, so bright
You're the first little star I see tonight
    I wish I may, I wish I might
Have a wish, I wish tonight

Sometimes I'm happy, and sometimes I'm blue
My only wish is depending on you
Although you are so very far
Please, help me, help me, little star

There is something about her, that I cannot explain
And to be without her, it would drive me insane
Little star above, my wish is of
My only, my only, only love

    Little star, little star, oh
If she only knew, the pain in my heart
And what I went through, since we've been apart
Little star aglow, if she should know
Then you should tell her, tell her, tell her so
  8. Route 66

    Lyrics: Route 66

Well, if you ever plan to motor west
Jack, take my way, it's the highway that's the best
Get your kicks on Route 66

Well, it winds from Chicago to L.A.
More than 2000 miles all the way
Get your kicks on Route 66

Well, it goes from St. Louie, Joplin, Missouri
Oklahoma City looks ooh so pretty
You'll see Amarillo and Gallup, New Mexico
    Flagstaff, Arizona, don't forget Winona
    Kingsman, Barstow, San Bernardino

Won't you get hip to that kindly tip
Jack and take that California trip?
Get your kicks on Route 66

  9. Sweet Sixteen

    Lyrics: Sweet Sixteen

    Sweet Sixteen
    Sweet Sixteen
    Sweet Sixteen
    Sweet Sixteen
Are you the sweetest little thing
    That I have ever seen?

    But you would not
    You would not do
Everything that I ask you to
Guess you ran away from your home, darling
Now, you wanna run away from me too

Well, my brother is sent to Korea
And my sister, settled down in New Orleans
Guess my mother is up in Heaven
    I would've wonder what's
    Gonna happen to me

    Sweet Sixteen
    Sweet Sixteen
    Sweet Sixteen
    Sweet Sixteen
    Yes, you sweetest little thing
    That I've ever seen
  10. Runaround

    Lyrics: Runaround

Lord knows that I love you
    Why can't we get along?
Lord knows that I love you
    Why can't we get along?
You don't have to run around
Doing things you know is wrong

I'll do anything in this world to please you
But I won't let you run around
I'll do anything to please you darlin'
But I won't let you run around
Last time I held on to you
This time I might put you down

    So long, so long baby
There's no future for me and you
    So long pretty baby
No future for me and you
I love you too much to let you
Run around the way you do
  11. Stop and Listen

    Lyrics: Stop and Listen

    Stop and listen
I hear my baby calling my name
    Stop and listen
I hear my baby call my name
    She don't call too loud
But she calls so nice and plain

    Stop and listen
    Before you make a start
    Stop and listen
    Before you make a start
Because if you fall in love
    It may break your heart

    I love my baby
I'll tell the world I do
    I love you, baby
I'll tell the world I do
And they'll just have to stop and listen
    To everything for you
  12. Rip It Up

    Lyrics: Rip It Up

Well, it's Saturday night and I just got paid
I'ma fool away my money, don't try to save
My heart says, "Go go, have a time"
'Cause Saturday night bar and I'm feelin' fine

I'm gonna rock it up, I'll rip it up
I'm gonna shake it up, I'm gonna ball it up
I'm gonna rock it up, ball tonight

    I got a date and I won't be late
Pickin' her up in my '88
Cruise on down 'bout the union hall
John starts jumpin', we'll have a ball

Gonna rock it up, yes, I'm gonna rip it up
I'm gonna shake it up, I'm gonna ball it up
I'm gonna rock it up and ball tonight

'Long about ten and I'm swingin' high
Me and my baby, rocking up in the sky
Don't care if I spend my dollar
'Cause tonight, I'ma be one happy soul

I'm gonna rock it up, I'll rip it up
I'm gonna shake it up, I'm gonna ball it up
I'm gonna rock it up and ball tonight

Chuck Berry’s Golden Hits (1967)

  1. Sweet Little Sixteen

    Lyrics: Sweet Little Sixteen

    They're really rockin' in Boston
    In Pittsburgh, P.A.
Deep in the heart of Texas
    And 'round the Frisco Bay
    All over St. Louis
    And down in New Orleans
All the cats wanna dance with
    Sweet little sixteen

    Sweet little sixteen
    She's just got to have
    About half a million
    Framed autographs
    Her wallet filled with pictures
She gets 'em one by one
    Become so excited
Watch her, look at her run, boy

    Oh mommy, mommy
    Please may I go
It's such a sight to see
    Somebody steal the show
    Oh daddy, daddy
    I beg of you
    Whisper to mommy
    It's all right with you

'Cause they'll be rockin' on Bandstand in
    Philadelphia P.A.
Deep in the heart of Texas
    And 'round the Frisco Bay
    All over St. Louis
    Way down in New Orleans
All the cats wanna dance with
    Sweet little sixteen

'Cause they'll be rockin' on Bandstand
    Philadelphia P.A.
Deep in the heart of Texas
    And 'round the Frisco Bay
    All over St. Louis
    Way down in New Orleans
All the cats wanna dance with
    Sweet little sixteen

    Sweet little sixteen
    She's got the grown-up blues
    Tight dresses and lipstick
    She's sportin' high heel shoes
    Oh, but tomorrow mornin'
She'll have to change her trend
    And be sweet sixteen
    And back in class again

Well, they'll be rockin' in Boston
    Pittsburgh, P.A.
Deep in the heart of Texas
    And 'round the Frisco Bay
    Way out in St. Louis
    Way down to New Orleans
All the cats wanna dance with
    Sweet little sixteen
  2. Memphis

    Lyrics: Memphis

Long distance information, give me Memphis, Tennessee
Help me find the party trying to get in touch with me
She could not leave her number, but I know who placed the call
'Cause my uncle took the message, and he wrote it on the wall

Help me, information, get in touch with my Marie
She's the only one who'd phone me here from Memphis, Tennessee
Her home is on the southside, high up on a ridge
Just a half a mile from the Mississippi bridge

Help me, information, more than that I cannot add
Only that I miss her and all the fun we had
But we were pulled apart because her mom did not agree
And tore apart our happy home in Memphis, Tennessee

Last time I saw Marie, she's waving me goodbye
With hurry home drops on her cheek that trickled from her eye
Marie is only six years old, information please
Try to put me through to her in Memphis, Tennessee
  3. Maybelline

    Lyrics: Maybelline

Maybelline why can't you be true
Oh Maybelline why can't you be true
You just started back doing the things you used to do

As I was motivating over the hill
I saw Maybelline in a Coupe de Ville
Cadillac rolling on an open road
But nothing outrun my V8 Ford
    Cadillac doing about ninety-five
We was bumper to bumper rolling side to side

Maybelline why can't you be true
Oh Maybelline why can't you be true
You just started back doing the things you used to do

The Cadillac pulled up ahead of the Ford
The Ford got hot and wouldn't do no more
It done got cloudy and started to rain
I tooted my horn for the passing lane
The rain water was rolling all under my motor hood
I knew that was doing my motor good

Maybelline why can't you be true
Oh Maybelline why can't you be true
You just started back doing the things you used to do

Maybelline why can't you be true
Oh Maybelline why can't you be true
You just started back doing the things you used to do

The motor cooled down, the heat went down
And that's when I heard that highway sound
The Cadillac sitting like a ton of lead
A hundred and ten and-a half a mile ahead
Cadillac looking like it's sitting still
And I caught Maybelline at the top of the hill

Maybelline why can't you be true
Oh Maybelline why can't you be true
You just started back doing the things you used to do
  4. Back in the U.S.A.

    Lyrics: Back in the U.S.A.

    Uh-huh-huh, oh yeah
    Uh-huh-huh, oh yeah
Uh-huh-huh, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

Oh well, oh well, I feel so good today (uh-huh-huh, oh yeah)
We just touched ground on an international runway (uh-huh-huh, oh yeah)
Jet-propelled back home, from overseas to the USA (oh yeah, oh yeah)

New York, Los Angeles, oh how I yearned for you (uh-huh-huh, oo-huh)
Detroit, Chicago, Chattanooga, Baton Rouge (uh-huh-huh, oo-huh)
Let alone just to be at my home back at old St. Lou (oo-huh, oo-huh)

    Uh-huh-huh, yeah, yeah
    Uh-huh-huh, yeah, yeah
    Uh-huh-huh, yeah, yeah
    Uh-huh-huh, yeah, yeah
Uh-huh-huh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Did I miss the skyscrapers, did I miss the long freeway? (Uh-huh-huh, oh yeah)
From the coast of California to the shores of The Delaware Bay (uh-huh-huh, oh yeah)
You can bet your life I did, till I got back in the USA (oh yeah, oh yeah)

    Uh-huh-huh, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah
    Uh-huh-huh, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah
    Uh-huh-huh, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah
    Yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah

Looking hard for a drive-in, searching for a corner café (uh-huh-huh, oh yeah)
Where hamburgers sizzle on an open grill night and day (uh-huh-huh, oh yeah)
Yeah, and a jukebox jumping the records like in the USA (oh yeah, oh yeah)

Well, I'm so glad I'm livin' in the USA (a-yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah)
Yes, I'm so glad I'm livin' in the USA (a-yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah)
Anything you want, we got it right here in the USA (oo-huh, oo-huh)

I'm so glad I'm livin' in the USA (oo-huh, oo-huh)
Yes, I'm so glad I'm livin' in the USA (oo-huh, oo-huh)
  5. Johnny B. Goode

    Lyrics: Johnny B. Goode

Deep down in Louisiana close to New Orleans
Way back up in the woods among the evergreens
There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood
Where lived a country boy named Johnny B. Goode
Who never ever learned to read or write so well
But he could play a guitar just like a-ringin' a bell
    Go go
    Go Johnny go go
    Go Johnny go go
    Go Johnny go go
    Go Johnny go go
    Johnny B. Goode
He used to carry his guitar in a gunny sack
Go sit beneath the tree by the railroad track
Oh, the engineers would see him sitting in the shade
Strumming with the rhythm that the drivers made
The people passing by they would stop and say
"Oh my well that little country boy could play"
    Go go
    Go Johnny go go
    Go Johnny go go
    Go Johnny go go
    Go Johnny go go
    Johnny B. Goode
His mother told him, "Someday you will be a man"
"And you will be the leader of a big old band"
"Many people coming from miles around"
"To hear you play your music when the sun go down"
"Maybe someday your name will be in lights"
    "Saying, Johnny B. Goode tonight"
    Go go
    Go Johnny go
    Go go go Johnny go
    Go go go Johnny go
    Go go go Johnny go
    Go
    Johnny B. Goode
  6. Rock and Roll Music

    Lyrics: Rock and Roll Music

Just let me hear some of that rock and roll music
Any old way you choose it
It's got a backbeat, you can't lose it
Any old time you use it
    It's gotta be rock'n'roll music
If you wanna dance with me
If you wanna dance with me

I have no kick against modern jazz
Unless they try to play it too darn fast
And change the beauty of the melody
Until it sounds just like a symphony

That's why I go for that rock and roll music
Any old way you choose it
It's got a backbeat, you can't lose it
Any old time you use it
    It's gotta be rock'n'roll music
If you wanna dance with me
If you wanna dance with me

I took my loved one over 'cross the tracks
So she could her my man a-whalin' sax
I must admit they have a rockin' band
Man they were goin' like a hurricane

That's why I go for that rock and roll music
Any old way you choose it
It's got a backbeat, you can't lose it
Any old time you use it
    It's gotta be rock'n'roll music
If you wanna dance with me
If you wanna dance with me

Way down South they gave a jubilee
Them country folks they had a jamboree
They're drinkin' home brew from a wooden cup
The folks dancin' got all shook up

And started playin' that rock and roll music
Any old way you choose it
It's got a backbeat, you can't lose it
Any old time you use it
    It's gotta be rock'n'roll music
If you wanna dance with me
If you wanna dance with me

Don't care to hear 'em play the tango
I'm in no mood to dig a mambo
It's way too early for the conga
    So keep a-rockin' that piano

So I can hear some of that rock and roll music
Any old way you choose it
It's got a backbeat, you can't lose it
Any old time you use it
    It's gotta be rock'n'roll music
If you wanna dance with me
If you wanna dance with me
  7. Roll Over Beethoven

    Lyrics: Roll Over Beethoven

Well I'm-a write a little letter
I'm gonna mail it to my local D.J.
Yeah and it's a jumpin' little record
I want my jockey to play
    Roll over Beethoven
I gotta hear it again today

    You know my temperature's risin'
    The jukebox's blowin' a fuse
    My heart beatin' rhythm
And my soul keep-a singing the blues
    Roll over Beethoven
    And tell Tchaikovsky the news

    I got the rockin' pneumonia
I need a shot of rhythm and blues
    I caught the rollin' athritis
Sittin' down at a rhythm review
    Roll over Beethoven
They rockin' in two by two

Well if you feel and like it
Go get your lover then reel and rock it
Roll it over then move on up, yes-a
    Try for further then
Reel and rock with one another
    Roll over Beethoven
And dig these rhythm and blues

    Well early in the mornin'
And I'm givin' you my mornin'
Don't you step on my blue suede shoes
Hey diddle-diddle, I'm-a play my fiddle
    Ain't got nothing to lose
    Roll over Beethoven
    And tell Tchaikovsky the news

You know she wiggle like a glow worm
    Dance like a spinnin' top
    She got a crazy partner
You oughta see 'em reel an rock
Long as she got a dime
    The music will never stop

    Roll over Beethoven
    Roll over Beethoven
    Roll over Beethoven
    Roll over Beethoven
    Roll over Beethoven
And dig these rhythm and blues
  8. Thirty Days

    Lyrics: Thirty Days

I'm gonna to give you 30 days to get back home
I done called up a Gypsy woman on the telephone
Gonna send out a worldwide hoodoo
That'll be the very thing that'll suit ya
I'm going to see that you be back home in 30 days

    Oh, 30 days (30 days)
    Oh, 30 days (30 days)
Baby, I'ma see that you be back home in 30 days
Well, she going to send out a worldwide hoodoo
That'll be the very thing that'll suit ya
I'm going to see that you be back home in 30 days

And I talked to the judge in private early this morning
And he took me to the sheriff's office to sign a warrant
They gon' put a cross charge again' ya
That'll be the very thing that'll send ya
I'm going to see that you be back home in 30 days

    Oh, 30 days (30 days)
    Oh, 30 days (30 days)
I'ma see that you be back home in 30 days
Yeah, they're going to put a cross charge again' ya
That'll be the very thing that'll suit ya
I'm going to see that you be back home in 30 days

If I don't get no satisfaction from the judge
I'm going to take it to the FBI and voice the grudge
If they don't give me no consolation
I'm going to take it to the United Nations
And I'm going to see that you be back home in 30 days

    Oh, 30 days (30 days)
    Oh, 30 days (30 days)
Baby, I'ma see that you be back home in 30 days
Well, if you don't give me no consolation
I'm going to take it to the United Nations
I'm going to see that you be back home in 30 days
  9. Club Nitty Gritty

    Lyrics: Club Nitty Gritty

Well, down in Tennessee, close to Mississippi
About a mile out of Toulouse, on the way to Memphis
There's a road turning south that's rather rocky and tricky
But it dead-ends right up to the Club Nitty Gritty

    They do the Mess Around
    The Watusi
    The Hully Gully
    The Mashed Potato
    And oh-oh, they started Twisting
    They did the Shimmy
    They started Jerking

    Oh, Nitty Gritty

    Oh, Nitty Gritty

    Oh, Nitty Gritty

Almost every night people drive off into the city
All goin' to cocaine at the club Nitty Gritty
Ow, ow, they did The Philly Dog
    On a heat week

Chuck Berry in Memphis (1967)

  1. Back to Memphis

    Lyrics: Back to Memphis

I've been struggling up here, child, trying to make a living
Everybody wants to take, nobody likes giving
I wish I was in Memphis back home there with my Mama
The only clothes I got left that ain't rags is my pajamas
No brotherly love, no help, no danger
Just a great big town full of cold-hearted strangers

I went hungry in New York and Chicago was no better
But today, my dear mother wrote and told me in her letter
Son, come on back to Memphis and live here with your Mama
You can walk down Beale Street, honey, wearing your pajamas
You know home folks here, we let you do just what you want to
And I born you and raised you right here on the corner

I'm going to leave here in the morning and walk down to the station
I've got just enough money to pay my transportation
I'm going back to Memphis, back home with my Mama
If I have to ride that bus barefooted in pajamas
Back home in Memphis, no moaning and groaning
I know everything will be all right in the morning
  2. I Do Really Love You

Lyrics: I Do Really Love You

It's you I'm in love with
    It's not what you are
It's not how you treat me
    Or your fancy car
    But there's something about you
    I keep yearning for
I, I do really love you

    Just thinking about you
    Gives me such a thrill
Let alone to be with you, or know that I will
    And know that I'll tremble
    When I should be still
Mm, mm, I, I do really love you

Give me what I live for
Your sweet lips pressed to me
And transform this yearning into ecstasy
And send me, oh, send me, most humbly
Mm, mm, I, I do really love you
  3. Ramblin’ Rose

    Lyrics: Ramblin’ Rose

    Ramblin' rose, ramblin' rose
Why you ramble, no one knows
    Wild and wind-blown, that's how you've grown
Who can cling to a ramblin' rose?

    Ramble on, on and on
But when you're ramblin', days are gone
Who will love you with a love that's true
When you're ramblin', your ramblin' days are gone?

    Ramblin' rose, ramblin' rose
Why I want you, heaven knows
Though I love you, with a love that's true
Who can cling to a ramblin' rose?
  4. Sweet Little Rock and Roller

Lyrics: Sweet Little Rock and Roller

Only nine years old and as sweet as she can be
All dressed up like a downtown Christmas tree
Dancin' and hummin' a rock 'n' roll melody

She's the daughter of a well respected man
Who taught her how to jerk and understand
Then she became a rock 'n' roll music fan

Talk about a sweet little rock 'n' roller
The sweet little rock 'n' roller
Her daddy don't have to scold her
Her partner can't hardly hold her
    She never gets any older
    Sweet little rock 'n' roller

Shoulda seen her eyes when the band began to play
And the famous singer sang and bowed away
When the stars were gone she screamed and yelled hurray

Ten thousand eyes were watchin' them leave the floor
Five thousand tongues are screaming out more and more
About fifteen hundred of 'em waiting outside the door

    She's a sweet little rock 'n' roller
    She's a sweet little rock 'n' roller
Her daddy don't have to scold her
    Never gonna gets any older
Her partner can't hardly hold her
    She's a sweet little rock 'n' roller
  5. My Heart Will Always Belong to You

Lyrics: My Heart Will Always Belong to You

    Now darling, you should know
That I'm really, really in love with you
Although you don't belong to me, darling
My heart will always belong to you

There are many, many things all around me
That will always remind me of you
I know I'll never forget you, darling
My heart will always belong to you

    Since you've been gone, darling
Life for me has been so blue
I guess I'll just have to go through it alone, darling
'Cause my heart will always belong to you

Although, although I cannot see you
I could never, never stop lovin' you
I just hope and pray you'll come back to me, darling
'Cause my heart will always belong to you
  6. Oh Baby Doll

    Lyrics: Oh Baby Doll

    Baby doll
When bells ring out the summer free
    Oh, baby doll
Will it end for you and me?
We'll sing our old Alma Mater
And think of things that used to be

    I remember it so well
Back when the weather was cool
We used to have so much fun
When we were walking to school

If we stopped off to hear
    The latest songs they sing
And we just make it in
    Before the bells would ring

    Oh, baby doll
When bells ring out the summer free
    Oh, baby doll
Will it end for you and me?
We'll sing our old Alma Mater
And think of things that used to be

    Oh, baby doll
When bells ring out the summer free
    Oh, baby doll
Will it end for you and me?
We'll sing the old Alma Mater
And think of things that used to be

    When the teacher was gone
That's when we had a ball
We used to dance and play
All up and down the hall

    We had a portable radio
    We was ballin' the jack
But we'd be all back in order
    When the teacher got back

    Oh, baby doll
When bells ring out the summer free
    Oh, baby doll
Oh, will it end for you and me?
    We'll sing old Alma Mater
And think of things that used to be
  7. Check Me Out

    Lyrics: Check Me Out

Come on up to me baby
    Make me shake and shout
Come on up to me baby
    Make me move about
Come on up to me baby
Come up and check me out

    I can't dance by Tchaikovsky
    Ain't no Johann Bach
    No comprende Franz Schubert
I'm going to stick to my stock
Come on up to me baby
    Because I want to rock

Come on up to me baby
    Make me shake and shout
Come on up to me baby
    Make me move about
Come on up to me baby
Come up and check me out

Come on up to me baby
    Make me shake and shout
Come on up to me baby
    Make me move about
    Come on, come on
Come up and check me out

    Come on up little closer
    Hmm, come check me out
Come on up little closer, little closer
    And go round about
I'm gonna teach you how to check me out
    Come up on little closer
So you can check me out
Come on, come on, come on
  8. It Hurts Me Too

    Lyrics: It Hurts Me Too

    You're so unhappy
    You always cryin'
    The man you loved
    He treat you so unkind

    When things go wrong
    Go wrong with you
    It hurts me too

    He loves another woman
    And I love you
And you'd follow around him, like morning dew

    When things go wrong
    Go wrong with you
    It hurts me too

Why love him more, and love me less
And put up with him, and take his mess

    When things go wrong
    Go wrong with you
    It hurts me too

    Why don't you leave him
Or make him put you down?
    'Cause I just can't stand
    To see you pushed around

    When things go wrong
    Go wrong with you
    It hurts me too
  9. Bring Another Drink

    Lyrics: Bring Another Drink

Last night we had a party
    With some mellow chicks
At the gin mill down the street
    Just to get some kicks

We sat down at the table
The cover was just a deuce
The band was wailin' in the groove
    "Bring us all some juice"

We started lushin', and the chicks got high
    But they weren't high enough
We whispered love words into their ears
    And the chicks got rough
    And started some horrible stuff

So let this be a lesson
    Please stop and think
Before you whisper into her ears
    "Bring another drink"

We started lushin', and the chicks got high
But they weren't quite high enough
And when we whispered love words in their ears
    The chicks got rough
    And started some horrible stuff

So let this be a lesson
    You better stop and think
Before you whisper into her ears
    "Bring another drink"
    "Bring another drink"
    "Bring 'em another drink"
  10. So Long

    Lyrics: So Long

    So Long
I hope we'll met again someday
And I hope that, maybe you will say
    Oh darling, I was wrong
    So long
Gee, I hate to see you go
You're the world to me, you know
    You've been mine, so long
    All along
    In my memories of you
I can see that you're lonely too
    But you're my own
    Even though we're far apart
You will be, you will be, right here in my heart
    So long
    So long
Though you leave me here to cry
    This could never mean goodbye
    You've been mine, so long
  11. Goodnight Well It’s Time to Go

Lyrics: Goodnight Well It’s Time to Go

    Good night, sweethearts
    It's time to go now
    Arrivederci, tally-ho, au revoir, adiós
You've been so wonderful, I don't wish to go
    But this completes my show

    Bonsoir, cherie, Je vous partir
    Bonsoir, cherie, Je vous partir
    Je vous aime, beaucoup cherie
    Bonsoir, cherie, bonsoir

Be strong, Pierre, hang on cherie
    Avec plaisir, as you know
Oh, it's been beautiful, it's been mellow
That is why I don't want to go, no, no

But good night, sweetheart, I got to go now
Time won't permit me to play no more now
But I'll be back to do another show now
So good night, so long, bye bye
